The Brief
A thoroughly understood and agreed upon brief helps ensure the whole process is executed smoothly and is on track from inception. We make sure we understand the business issues that the hire will address. We define the skill sets, profile, experience and the softer behavioural, style and temperament prerequisites. Our first hand, at the coal face experience will also give us an intuition of what the job actually involves.

The Search
A thorough and methodical search process is key to ensuring the right candidates are identified and presented to the client.
An initial search phase involves a systematic analysis of existing data, tailored research and creative thinking. It includes discrete discussions with our professional networks and relationships. This produces a preliminary list of candidates which we discuss and agree with the client to be worth investigating further. As we have a select client list, it ensures limited or no off limits restrictions.
The second phase involves more discrete informal, but detailed, referencing, additional research, confidential screening, assessment and interviewing of candidates. From this appraisal, a definitive short list is presented to the client for interview.
The approach to candidates is clearly critical. We communicate the role convincingly, in detail and in the context of the business strategy. We delineate the cultural aspects and deal with any reservations about the opportunity they may have compared to their existing position.
Secure the Candidate
We remain closely involved during the interview and offer negotiation phases and we follow up with candidate and client at regular intervals to check on performance and fit.
